Network Operating System (NOS)
NOS is an operating system software that allows multiple computers to communicate, share files and hardware devices with one another. Through NOS various machines interconnected, such that users can access remote resources. Also, no assumptions of homogeneous underlying hardware and easily managed as a single system. Some examples of network operating systems include Novell NetWare, Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP, Sun Solaris, Linux, etc.

Disadvantages:
• Using NOS is harder.
• Management of NOS is harder.
Advantages:
• It is very easy to scale.
