VIDEO SYSTEM SOFTWARE ENGINEER #826139

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Video System Software engineer will contribute in the areas of digital video software, embedded operating systems, and software/hardware partitioning by building on NVIDIA’s current GPU architecture.

The Engineer will develop a platform independent, multi-standard and hardware assisted Video Decode and 2D compositing library for various Embedded platforms. The focus will be on developing a robust and optimized library in C that takes advantage of different hardware accelerated features available on today’s GPUs (Video and Graphics). The engineer will work with the Embedded System Software teams as well as the Video codec team to create an efficient multi-platform API.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in Computer Science, Digital Signal Processing or related discipline and be very good in C programming.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience in System development and Video. System development must include experience with an embedded platform (including Linux) and a good understanding of low level system resources (DMA, cache…). Video development must include either consumer video software development, video codec development or video DSP experience.
- The candidate should be familiar with a wide range of current video and image processing techniques and digital video compression standards such as MPEG-2/4, H.264, and Windows Media Video.
- Other useful experience: 3D programming (OpenGL, DirectX 3D), DirectX VA, DirectShow, HDTV, ATSC/DVB, DVD, etc…
