Job Description
Interpret & understand end users (Request For Proposal) Terms & Conditions;
# Determine, or assist the bid team in determining which suppliers are will be required to provide an appropriate answer to the bid;
# Obtain supplier information and engage supplier or current supplier SRM;
# Communicate with the suppliers for price & availability;
# Assist bid team in issuing bid specific RFQs;
# Assist bid team in performing gap analysis between end user RFP and current agreements;

# Develop Requests for Proposal, Requests for Quotations or Requests for Information for specific product or service requirements.
# Drive effective cost reduction strategies in collaboration with other departments.
# Ensure excellent supplier performance within the framework of the Supplier Business Engagement Model (SBEM); influence supplier business process towards improved agility and flexibility.
# Identify and recommend alternate suppliers of products or services.
# Ensure compliance with Nortel policies, procedures and directives including adherence to minimum contract terms and receipt of approvals from the Contracts Review Board

Desired Profile
* Engineering and/or MBA graduates who want to make a career in Procurement function specializing in software and OEM applications.
* Good communication skills and a strong commercial aptitude with good understanding of new technologies in the area of telecommunications and computing.
