Job Description
Deployment Engineer

Overview
Manage deployment of new product release and client deployments in production environment. Execute acceptance tests before releasing environment to users. Own deployment of products in all other environments, including Development and Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities
* Creating and maintaining technical documentation
* Working closely with the development and QA teams to understand product deployment process and challenges.
* Provide feedback to QA & Engineering to improve the deployment process and the overall quality of product.
* Responsible for web, application and Database tier deployment in production, QA and Development environment.
* Develop tools and processes to reduce risk and effort required in the deployment process.
* Develop processes to manage large scale deployment in multiple environments.
* Engage in quality Testing the deployment process for new product release cycles.
* Provide the next level support services for the Support Analyst role.
* Define requirements for product enhancements needed for improvements in deployment.

Qualifications

* Must be responsible and accountable with excellent debugging and optimization skills. Should enjoy collaborating and follow through on multiple complex projects. Good communicator who possesses strong written and oral communication skills. Well-organized and detail-oriented and demonstrates excellent analytical skills. Thinks âout of the boxâ with ability to come up with creative solutions.
* Strong team player, positive attitude, extremely organized, detail oriented and customer focused

Technical Skills:

* Knowledgeable about server hardware and operating system configurations
* Should be conversant with hardware components including HDD, Memory, disk store, disk configuration, backup etc.
* Should have administrator know-how of Oracle and SQL Server databases
* Expert level in scripting using Cygwin, Perl or any other scripting language
* Conversant with Windows/Linux Operating Systems from a software installation and configuration perspective
* Conversant with using Ghost for imaging
* Expertise in administering & programming SQL Server & Oracle databases. DBA certification is a plus
* Very strong troubleshooting skills
* Expert using IIS, Perforce, Apache.
