HPGCL is looking for talented and dynamic young engineers with brilliant academic record to join HPGCL as.
ASSISTANT ENGINEER (TRAINEE)

In various disciplines with number of posts as under:-

The candidates will have to undergo training for one year in different projects/plants and training Institute/Works. The period of training can be increased/decreased at the discretion of Power Utilities. The Corporation can terminate the services of an Assistant Engineer (Trainee) without notice, if his work & conduct during the period, is not found satisfactory. During training they will be allowed the Pay Scale of Assistant Engineer viz.Rs.8000-275-10200-EB-275-13500. On completion of the training, they will be absorbed as Assistant Engineer in the same scale of pay. These posts are temporary but likely to continue.

Qualifications (as may be applicable):-
Assistant Engineer/ Electrical
Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering/ “Electrical & Electronics Engineering” or equivalent qualification.
Assistant Engineer/Mechanical
Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Assistant Engineer/Electronics
Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics/ Electronics & Communications/ Electronics & Telecommunication/Electronics & Electrical Communication/“Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering” or equivalent qualifications

Assistant Engineer/Civil
Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent qualification

Note: The prescribed qualification should be from any Indian/Foreign recognized university/Institute duly recognized by All India Council of Technical Education.  All candidates possessing any of the above qualification must have secured at least 60% marks and in case of Schedule caste/schedule tribe and Backward classes, the minimum percentage of marks would be 55 %, in B.E.degree.    All the candidates should have working knowledge of computer and exposure on common software applications including networking and should also have passed Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric Standard.    The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.  HPGCL reserves the right to call eligible candidates to the extent of three times the number of vacancies for interview on the basis of criteria fixed by the Corporation based on qualification and experience.

Age limit: Between 20 to 40 years as on 1.2.2007.  In the case of employees of HVPNL/UHBVNL/DHBVNL/HPGCL, age limit is relaxable to the extent of service rendered by them in HVPNL/UHBVNL/DHBVNL/HPGCL provided they apply through proper channel. In case of SC/BC candidate, the upper age limit is relaxable as per Haryana Govt./Corporation instruction.

Reservation of Posts: The benefit of reservation will be given to Haryana domicile reserved categories including ESM as per Haryana Govt./Corporation’s instructions.

Application Fee: Rs. 500/- (five hundred) for General category candidate & SC/BC candidate outside Haryana and Rs. 250/-(two hundred fifty) for SC/BC category of Haryana (Non-refundable). The application fee can be deposited  either in cash or through Demand Draft or through Indian Postal Order in favour of the Accounts Officer/Cash, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited, payable at Panchkula or BA-16 (Receipt) from any HPGCL office viz. O/O CE/O&M-I & II, PTPS, Panipat, CE/FTPS, Faridabad, CE/DCRTPP, Yamunanagar & Accounts Officer/Cash, Qtr.No.219, Power Colony, Indl. Area, Phase-I, Panchkula
The decision of HPGCL in all matters relating to acceptance or rejection of any application, eligibility, suitability of the candidates, mode of and criteria for selection etc. will be final and binding on the candidates. No enquiry or correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

How to apply :   Eligible candidates have to apply on prescribed application form which is available on the website. Application form can also be had from the offices of Chief Engineer/O&M-II, PTPS, (Main Security Gate), Panipat, Xen/Works, O/O Chief Engineer/Thermal, Faridbad, Xen/M&C O/o Chief Engineer/DCRTPP, Yamunanagar and Under Secy/Generation, HPGCL, SCO No.32, (IInd floor) Sector-11, Panchkula.  Application complete in all respects should be sent only through registered post so as to reach the undersigned latest by 15.03.2007.  The applications received after due date i.e. 15.03.2007 will not be entertained.  The candidate should specify on the top of the envelope the words Advertisement No., name & category of the post applied for.

General Instructions:-
1.   Indian Postal Order/Demand Draft issued before the date of publication of this advertisement and after the closing date will not be accepted.
2. Incomplete application form without proof of age and the minimum required qualifications etc. will be straightaway rejected without entering into any correspondence.
3 The eligibility of candidate with regard to qualification and all conditions of this advertisement will be determined as on 1.2.2007.
4.  Experience acquired after the acquisition of requisite minimum qualification will only be taken into account.  No service benefit of any nature of previous service rendered in  any department (other than HPGCL/HVPNL/UHBVNL/DHBVNL) will be admissible.
5. No concession of fee is admissible to SC/BC candidates of other States.
6. The selected candidates are required to work under the jurisdiction of HPGCL within or outside the Haryana including BBMB/NRPC etc and will be subject to such rules and regulations as may be framed by it from time to time governing the conditions of service of its employees.
7.The Corporation reserves the right to relax any condition or modify, alter the above mode of recruitment without any notice or cancel the advertisement if and when it considers necessary to do so.
8. Candidate applying for a post must ensure that he fulfills all the eligibility conditions. If on verification at any time before or after interview or appointment, it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions or it is found that the information furnished is false or incorrect, their candidature will be cancelled.
9.  Application received after due date or not in conformity with the above stipulation will be rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this respect.
10. In case of any ambiguity/dispute, interpretation or any other issues, decision of the HPGCL shall be final and binding on the candidates. Legal jurisdiction shall be subject to local courts at Panchkula only.
