The company was initially set up as Sona Somic Components Limited in the year 1995, a joint venture with Somic Ishikawa of Japan. In 1998, Lemforder Metallwaren picked up an equity stake in this company and the company expanded into Sona Somic Lemforder Components Limited (SSL). This tie-up has expanded the product base of this company as it can now cater to both the Japanese and European customers. SSL is a leading manufacturer of ball joints for steering systems and suspension components in the country. Its products are used in passenger cars, jeeps and light commercial vehicles. The company’s major customers are Sona Koyo Steering, Maruti -Suzuki, Honda, Toyota, M&M. The SSL plant has the latest state of the art equipment and its production method is based on the lean production system known as ‘Toyota Production System’ (TPS), learnt from its Japanese partner. Highly effective elements of TPS, like Just-In-Time, Kaizen, one piece at a time and Participative Management are being utilized to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. Recruitment for Graduate Trainees

Job Description :
- The duration of training period will be for a period of one (1) year after which depending upon performance the trainees will be absorbed in different departments.
- The desired candidate will have to come to Gurgaon (near to Delhi for 5-8 months) for training.
- After training in Gurgaon( Near to Delhi) the individual can be placed in any department in Chennai Plant depending on requirement of the Company.

Desired Profile :
- Graduate Trainees (GT’s) for our upcoming plant near to Sriperumbudur, Chennai (Tamil Nadu).
- The desired candidate must posses Degree in Science (B.Sc.) as qualification from a reputed institute.
- Preference will be given to freshers with no experience.
