About the Hiring Unit - INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

The Inventory Planning & Control team’s mission is to determine how much product is needed at each location in our network, over time, in order to maximize product availability with the minimal inventory levels while not exceeding the capacity constraints. This includes systematically placing orders to vendors, allocating incoming inventory and moving inventory between nodes of our network. The Analyst Team will set up processes and Audit to make sure the automated system is performing as expected.

Position Description - INVENTORY ANALYST MANAGER

LOCATION : Hyderabad, India

REPORTEES :Inventory Analysts

REPORTING TO : Senior Manager - Inventory Management

Summary of Responsibilities

Managing & Leading a team of upto 5 Inventory Analysts who are responsible for a wide range of duties related to the Analyzing Inventory decisions Amazon takes
Take appropriate decisions to optimize inventory cycles based on processes, tools and high-judgement decisions.
Achieve & constantly improve Service Levels based on inventory forecast and capacity.
Achieve targets by minimise Dead Inventory.
Process improvements
Road Map projects based on high level goals and execute in a timely manner.
Productivity and Performance improvements.
Collaborate & relationship management with different teams and decision makers that would have a downstream impact.

Knowledge & Skills/ Business Acumen/ Education & Experience

Generally requires a Graduate degree or higher with a MBA and 6-12 years of relevant experience.
Strong Expertise in Quantitative Analysis
Outstanding Problem Solving Skills
Good Team Management Skills
Prior working with Kaizen, Six-Sigma, Lean Methodologies highly desired, but not essential.
Proven background on Process Development and Deployment
Previous experience in Supply Chain Management is a huge plus.
The Key to success in this role is the ability to understand the Amazon’s Inventory Management group’s vision and make independent decisions with sound judgment to manage their teams to attain that vision.
