Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer

Applications are invited from unmarried Male Candidates for Short Service Commission in the Naval Architecture Cadre of the Indian Navy for Course commencing JULY 2009

Educational Qualifications. 55% or more marks in aggregate in 10+2/ equivalent examination with compulsory subjects Maths and Physics; optional subjects Chemistry/Biology/Computers

Age: Between 21 to 25 years (candidate to be born between 02 JULY 1984 to 01 JULY 1988; both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualifications.
BE/B Tech (or equivalent) from a recognized University/ Institution with minimum 60% marks in aggregate  in any one of the following:-  (i) Naval Architecture (ii) Mechanical (iii) Aeronautical (iv) Civil (v) Metallurgy (*Calculation for aggregate percentage should be based on total marks obtained in all the semesters (including I & II), divided by total number of semesters)

Physical Standards : Hight and Wieght : Minimum height - 157 cms for men and 152 cms for women with correlated weight.

SSC : Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.
