INVITES UNMARRIED MEN AND W0MEN TO JOIN THE INDIAN NAVY AS SHORT SERVICE COMMISSIONED OFFICERS IN THE AVIATION CADRE (OBSERVER) OF EXECUTIVE BRANCH JAN 2009

Applications are invited from unmarried male and female Indian citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) (Observer) in the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for Jan 2009 Course

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
Age. 19 to 23 years born between 02 Jan 1986 and 01 Jan 1990 ; both dates inclusive.

Educational Qualifications:
A candidate must be a graduate in any discipline with an aggregate of 55% marks. The candidate must have passed 10 + 2 with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects.

Physical Standards
(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height - 162.5 cms with correlated weight.
(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Should not be colour/night blind.

HOW TO APPLY
(a) Application Forms in accordance with the prescribed format and complete in  all respects with superscription on the envelope “APPLICATION FOR SSC (OBSERVER) JAN 2009 COURSE Qualification…….. Percentage……..% (If applicable)” are to be sent to the address given below by 29 April 08 . Applications sent by Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier will not be accepted.

(b) Application must be sent in the format given in the advertisement, otherwise it will be rejected.

(c) Application must be accompanied by attested copies of : - (i) 10th Standard Certificate for verification of date of birth and other educational certificates. (ii) Marks statement of all semesters/years.

(d) Application and requisite enclosures must be properly tagged/stitched by thread only. Integrated Headquarters - Min of Defence (Navy) (IHQ-MoD (Navy)) will not be responsible for loss of enclosures, if sent loose.

(e) Applicants should endorse their willingness to be considered for Executive (General Service) in case not qualifying PABT/ Aviation medicals to be considered for the same

(f) Applicats who have failed in PABT earlier are not eligible for the scheme
