Direct Recruitment for Telecom Technical Assistant (TTA) competitive examination on 20th & 21st January, 2008.

Bharat Sanchar Niagam Limited, Punjab Telecom Circle, Chandigarh will recruit about 489 posts of Telecom Technical Assistants (TTAs) in 11 different Secondary Switching Areas (SSAs) (SSA wise details of post is given in detailed advertisement)

Qualification :
(A) Three years Engineering Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/Radio Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Instrument Technology from a recognized institution/university after 10th standard and Only those candidates, who have secured minimum 50% marks in Three Years Engineering Diploma will be eligible to apply. OR
(B) The candidates possessing higher qualification like B.E and B.Tech. in the same streams as mentioned in `A` above are also eligible to appear in the above examination. OR

Age : 18 to 27 years as on 24/10/07. Relaxation as per rules.

Pay Scale : Rs. 7100-10100/- IDA pattern.

Application Fee : The examination fee of Rs. 500/- is to be sent alongwith the application form in the shape of Crossed Indian Postal Order / Bank Draft drawn in favour of Accounts Officer (Cash) O/o GMTD,……………….(name of the SSA concerned), (SC/PH candidate exempted from fee)

Procedure to Apply :
Prescribed application form duly filled in by the candidate in his / her own hand writing / typed should be sent to the D.E. (Admn.) O/o GMTD………………(name of the SSA concerned for which the candidate wishes to apply) at the concerned address so as to recieve in his office latest by 24 Oct 2007. Two recent identical passport size photographs (duly attested by a Gazetted Officer). The envelope containing application should be superscribed in bold letters “Application for Direct Recruitment to the cadre of Telecom Technical Assistant”. Two self addressed envelopes ( 23×11 cms. size) duly stamped should also be enclosed with the application.
