SUBMARINE CADRE (TECHNICAL BRANCHES)

1. Applications are invited from  Unmarried male Indian citizens for grand of  Short Service Commission  (SSC) in  Technical Branches  (Engineering and Electrical) of  the Indian Navy  for  course commencing Aug 2007 at  NAVAC Ezhimala, Kerala .

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
2.  Age :19 1/2  to 25 years ( candidates to be  born between 02 August 1982 and 01 Feb 1988  (both dates inclusive)
3.  Educational  Qualifications :  B.E/B.Tech (or equivalent) from a Institution recognized by AICTE with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Calculation for aggregate percentage should be based on total marks obtained in all the semesters( including 1 & 11), divided by total number of semesters, in any of the following disciplines :-
(a) Engineering Branch : (i) Mechanical.
(b) Electrical branch     : (i) Electrical (ii ) Electronics (iii) Tele communications (iv) Control Engineering.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS :
(a)    Height and weight : Minimum height-157 cms with correlated weight.
(b)    Eye sight : The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/24,6/24. (correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses ). Should not be colour/night blind.

HOW TO APPLY :
4. Application forms in accordance with the prescribed format and complete in all respects  with superscription on the envelop : “  SSC SUBMARINE CADRE-AUG 07,(whichever is applicable); Qualification & Stream (e.g. Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical etc)……………………..Aggregate percentage………………………%” are to be sent to the address given below by  05th January 2007.

IMPORTANT  INSTRUCTIONS :
(a) Application must be, sent in the format given in this advertisement, otherwise it will be summarily rejected.( b) Application must be accompanied by attested copies of !) 10 th standard certificate for verification of  Date of birth and other Educational certificates.(!!) Marks statement of all the semesters/ years for the education qualification of eligibility. (c) Two self addressed stamped envelopes. (d) Application and requisite enclosures must be properly tagged/stitched by thread only. (e) Application should be sent through ordinary mail: those sent by Speed Post/Regd Post/Courier will not be accepted.
